I started painting seriously in 1985 and haven’t stopped since.  I enjoy experimenting and often leave a painting for months until it tells me what to do with it!  I like to pour colour, drip and draw into it with inks, sometimes using other media, and believe each image should have a different approach.  Flowers give me immense pleasure to interpret – not realistically, however – a glorious profusion of shapes and colour – unbound, unleashed – will keep me quiet for many hours!

I am part of '50/50 Photo and Paint', based in Hampshire, showing the work of four photographers and four painters, inspired by each other. Our first exhibition in October 2012 was an eclectic mix of themed work which received excellent reviews, and a collection of further work has been shown annually since then.

I am Membership Secretary for Chandlers Ford Art Group, a group of 140 incredibly talented people.

I have exhibited at various galleries including Southampton City Art Gallery, Winchester Guildhall, and the St Barbe Gallery in Lymington, and with groups at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, and Mottisfont, a National Trust property.
